International framework

Eureka and international collaboration

The funding programme was implemented in accordance with Eureka procedures. Eureka is an international initiative for cross-border collaboration in civilian technological research and development. It brings together expertise and resources in collaborative projects.

Value-creation systems do not follow national borders. The call therefore took an international approach as a rule, enabling projects to address the systemic aspects of the transition to circular value creation.

Why international

Cycles do not stop at national borders

Resilient value creation cycles need an international framework, because material and data flows are organized across borders.

1

Eureka as a framework

CircularGlowUp uses the intergovernmental Eureka network for market-oriented, applied research and innovation.

2

International consortia

Projects work in cross-border consortia of companies and research institutions.

3

The value of cooperation

Partners share skills, data and markets, and so create cycles that individual countries cannot sustain on their own.

4

Connecting to global chains

The results connect to European and global value chains and strengthen their resilience.
